The Foxes had a phenomenal come from behind victory vs a solid Niles West team. The Foxes struggled to score the majority of the game but rattled off 14 points in the last four minutes of the 4th quarter. It was a solid team defense and constant pressure that ultimately shut down Niles West. Leading the way was Lauren Daffenberg with 18, Lindsay Harrison with 11 and Lily Guerra with 7. The Foxes move to 2-0 on the year and face York High School on Thursday at 6 at York High School.

Game Recap

The Foxes opened the season with a 48-30 victory over Downers Grove South in the York Thanksgiving Tournament. The sophomore squad raced their way to 14-2 first quarter lead and led by as much as 48-13 early in the third quarter. Leading scores were Lexi Meyer with a game high 15 points and Halle Jones with 14. Dana Malinowski contributed 9. Lexi Sandon controlled the boards with 15 rebounds and Kenzie Senffner dished out 7 assists. Team pressure led to 20 thefts with Halle’s 6 steals and Kenzie’s 4. Next up is a Tuesday night date with Niles West.

Game Recap

The Foxes started off the 2017-2018 season with a great team victory over Downers Grove South 49-32. After a slow start, the Foxes turned it around in the second quarter and rattled off 21 points to go into half time with a 29-17 lead. It truly was a team victory that saw 7 players reach the score book. Leading the way was Lauren Daffenberg with 21 followed by Lindsay Harrison with 9. The play of the game was Calli Bishop taking a charge in the third quarter. The Lady Foxes resume play tomorrow at 7:30 against Niles West.

The Boy’s Varsity Bowling Team took 2nd out of 14 teams this weekend at the Sycamore Kickoff Bowling Invitational. The Foxes were led by Michael Nape Jr. (1,429), Dante Gashi (1,200), and Caden Fairless (1,199). Foxes will compete next at Yorkville Bowl on Monday, November 6th vs. Ottawa Township!

Meet Recap

2017 Varsity Girls Conference lineup consisted of 3 sophomores, 3 juniors, and 2 seniors. We placed 7th as a team.

Singles led the way as Sophomore #1 singles Ashley Hatch made it to the championship and placed 2nd and earned all-conference honors.

Junior Maggie Romano at #2 singles made it to the 3rd place match and won 3rd place to earn all-conference honors.

All three doubles teams competed and placed 7th.
